Grammie wasn't right about this....

My mom (Grammie) had a lot of great ideas. Use mayonnaise on your face for a great complexion. When anything is wrong with you...cold, flu, or any sickness...drink and flush.
Mom was always a fashion diva. She would always have jewelry on. When she moved into the assisted living apartment, she told several ladies...it doesn't matter what you have on or what you look like...just put on a broach and no one will notice what you are wearing or what you look like...the focus will be on the broach. And to her credit, she would wear several, in case your eyes wandered. And no need to throw away those missing earrings...just wear them as pins.
On Friday morning I got up and headed downstairs to finish reading so I could write my paper. I really felt horrible but didn't want to take time to clean up because I was so focused. I had to print something so I went upstairs and found a jar with mom's pins, earrings and missing earrings. I thought that I would test out her theory...I put on a pair of her earrings on my ears, a pair on my t-shirt, and since your outfit is never complete without a broach...so I added 2! I wanted to see if Steve would notice, if I didn't say anything. OR if he would think I looked so good!
Well, I thought I pulled it off...until he looked up and looked at me and burst out laughing. So...mom...I didn't feel better and I obviously didn't look better. I guess that part of the genes didn't transfer! I'll stick to mayo!!! or maybe next time...I'll add a couple of necklaces. Maybe that is the trick!

What?!? I don't think that you can judge an entire theory ruined by ONE outlier! Maybe next time you should go to the mall or something :). Simon was looking over my shoulder when I opened this post and said, "WOW! I like this picture of Nana!" (so there... maybe Grammie WAS right!)

(just in case- Mazie says "ADD THE NECKLACES")
